Witty one-liner goes here
Sunday, July 28, 2019: Hey folks! So after a week of struggling to get the sew-jo back, I think I'm ready. I've had a couple of projects to do for strikes, but outside of that, I've been dragging to get things done. I forgot to sew my Week 27 before traveling (oops) and then didn't sew anything for the week we were gone OR this past week, and forgot to get the next week up, so I've got a LOT of catching up to do. I'm not worried though, as I know that one way or another, it'll all come together for me.
I'm working on my last swimsuit of the season, and I was super inspired by this retro style suit I found on Pinterest.
Now, I don't intend to make this exact suit, but it's definitely the vibe I'll be going for in my own. I'm house-sitting so sewing is a bit sporatic at the moment, but I'll have the suit done early in the week and pics up during the weekend since it's a strike sew. Come back soon. I can't wait to reveal!
Sunday, August 4, 2019: I finished up earlier this week but had to wait for fabric release day to share. I used this beautiful melon polka dot tricot that just released at Amelia Lane Deisgns to help create this look. The pattern I used was the Super Suit from Rad Patterns. When I say this suit is amazing, I mean it is AMAZING! I've sewn myself four swimsuits over the past swim season, and I have to say this one is my favorite. From the retro look, to the fabric choice, to the fit...it's all absolutely DIVINE.
I even made myself a headband to match the suit! I definitely feel like it helped tie my look together! 😍
Have you sewn any swimsuits this year? Do you tend to lean toward a certain style, or do you just try differnt ones? I think I'm sewing this pattern up first next summer, for sure!!
