Witty one-liner goes here

Monday, 1/21/2019: Hello, friends! Yesterday kicked off Week 3 in my sewing challenge. I couldn't really choose a category, so with the help of a few of my Facebook friends, last night I settled on socks. I've never made socks before, so this should be interested. I'd like to have a few options (not just super basic socks),so I'll be scouting out a pattern in the coming days. Stay tuned for what I find...

Wednesday, 1/23/2019: I promise I haven't abandoned my challenge already, haha. I'm in several pattern tests at the moment, and it just so happened that 4 due dates piled up at the beginning of this week. I did some digging and settled on Peek-a-boo Patterns' Cozy Critter Socks. Pattern is purchased, I just need to choose fabric. I'll probably post a couple photos on Instagram later in the day if you want to see what I'm coming up with.

Friday, 1/25/2019: I print and cut out the pattern last night. Today I went through one of my scrap boxes to find decent sized scraps for this project. I settled on these few and plan to get a pair for each of my kiddos cut out tonight. I wanted to get a little sewing done, but I don't think that'll happen. I made a skirt for my best friend's daughter this afternoon, but other than that, I haven't touched my machines today. Just not feeling it. Here are some of the scraps, though! Be back tomorrow...

These are my current choices. If I can find my other box, I'll probably change some out.

Saturday, 1/26/2019: Only progress today was cutting out the pieces. I ended up finding a few large scraps of this dino fabric, so I chose that for my son, instead.

Sunday, 1/27/2019: Finally finished two pairs of socks this morning!! This week was just crazy with commitments and sewing, but I made it. These were extremely quick sews (once I got around to it). The fit is spot on from the size chart, which has feet measurements listed to help you select. Both kiddos kept them on from the time I took photos until bedtime, so I guess it's a win. I'll try to incorporate more into their wardrobe before sending scraps to the scrap bin from now on. ;)

I thoroughly enjoyed making my first pairs of socks. Now, to figure out what to take on next week...
