Witty one-liner goes here
Wednesday, June 12, 2019: Hi friends! It's been a little while since I've posted, and I'm still a couple weeks behind. I've taken the next couple weeks of sitting out on most of my strike sews so that I can regain focus. I'll still have a couple, but no extreme turnaround times, which usually stress me out. Now that it's summer, family life has needed my attention quite a bit more lately, as well, so I think this is needed.
As per usual, I've been sewing a lot, just nothing that pertains to my specific week, which makes me feel so boxed in, and a bit frustrated. This "work"/home-life balance needs lots of work, I can admit that, and I'm doing my best to achieve it. I don't want to particularly PAUSE my challenge, but I do want to allow myself the grace to come back to things when I overlook or don't plan accordingly for them, without guilt. Strikes have deadlines, and mine here are self-imposed.
That being said, I'm still keeping tabs on anything that has passed and hasn't been done. As I promised you, I will come back to fill them in as I pass them by in my day-to-day sews. My hope is that my strike sews can start being more in-line with my needs here, so I'm able to check off both at the same time, and get back on track here. For this week, I have some rainbow striped strikes to sew up, so that's why I chose stripes. I'll probably have the photos up tomorrow and hope to get back to the past two weeks before my new strikes arrive.
See you in a bit!
Saturday, June 15, 2019: Here's my final sew! I have actually been done for a few days, just procrastinated on getting the pics uploaded here haha. This fabric was supposed to launch for preorder today, but it got pushed back to the 18th, so I'm sneaking a little early (🤫 don't tell on me).
I super, duper love these watercolor rainbow stripes!! My daughter wanted leggings out of them as soon as she saw them, and I don't blame her. My go-to for her is the Halla kid's legging pattern, which is free with a code in their Facebook group, if you're interested. I love that they can be cut with various inseams. My daughter is wearing a straight 9/10, though I think she needs a little grading in her hip area and the rise, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Check out my stripe matching job, though! 😍
I'm glad to finally get another weekly challenge done ON TIME!! Woohoo for me...though I'm sure I just jinxed myself for next week, lol! Can't believe the year is almost halfway over, y'all!
