Witty one-liner goes here

Sunday, March 10, 2019: Hi y'all!! I'm hoping to get back on track this week with everything. Some of you who follow me in the sewing community know that I've been super busy lately. I've been sewing strikes left and right, promoting those, PLUS my usual pattern testing and promoting patterns. I'm also a mom of two and a wife, so I have kids and a house to keep up with. I've not quite reached the limit of failure yet, but I'm currently re-evaluating how I do/manage all of it. I certainly don't want to reach the point of quitting, nor do I want my personal goals to take a backseat to promoting. I set out on this weekly challenge to prove to myself that I can do it, and I've already had to postpone two weeks.

Anywho...this week will be "panel." I have a couple on hand already to work with, and I may be getting more in the mail this week. Not sure what I'm making, or for who...but just know it'll include a panel lol! Check back in later this week for updates. Also...just a heads up that something a little different and special will be hitting the blog this Tuesday. You definitely want to come back for that...

Thursday, March 14, 2019: My son has been sick with the flu, so it slowed me down a bit this week. Got this beautiful panel chosen and just finished cutting my pattern out, so I'm back on track. My daughter is gonna be sooooo excited once I'm done. She was the most excited I've EVER seen her for fabric when this arrived in the mail a while ago!

Friday, March 15, 2019: I finished up the top around lunchtime today! Getting pics later then I'll be posting the final product tomorrow!

Saturday, March 16, 2019: Here is the finished Week 10 project! I had quite a few opportunities to sew this week, so got this done sooner than I anticipated. I purchased this panel and the coordinating fabrics back in the January preorder from Sahara Fabrics. I was excited to purchase it mostly because people of color (adults and children) are hugely under-represented in the custom fabric world, and sometimes even MIS-represented. To find a fairy/pixie print that was cute AND inclusive was exactly what I needed and WHEN I needed it. The day it arrived in the mail, my daughter's reaction to seeing beautiful, brown fairies, made my heart soar! I've been on the hunt ever since to keep adding to my collection every time I get the chance. I didn't really have the time to cut into it sooner because I had too many strikes and tests lately, but my daughter finally asked for something with it. She explained what she wanted, and I decided to go with the Discoverer Tee from Ellie and Mac with a neck binding instead of band. Both kids really love the designs and the fits of Lindsey's patterns, and they're easy to customize so they're my go to.

I really love this shirt...but I usually love everything I make, right? haha. Week 11 will be up tomorrow or Monday, at the latest.
